Tokens & Icons Fenway Park Seat Color Top Pen
This pen is crafted from authentic Fenway Park seat wood. The 1970's found most Major League Ballparks converting to plastic seats from wood with Fenway Park as the exception. This product is crafted from the old, wooden seats. Due to the age of the wood and uniqueness of the seats, no two products will be exactly the same. The painted surfaces may be multicolored due to layers of paint.Measuring 5" long and a slim 7/16" in diameter, this rhodium-plated rollerball pen features the seat wood twice: the barrel is turned from the wood and the painted surface is set in the top. Engraved with ballpark name. Ships with rollerball cartridge (Schmidt P8126 or P8127) and can also accept "Parker style" ballpoint refill cartridges.
Officially licensed by Major League Baseball, each pen comes gift-boxed with a Certificate of Authenticity.
ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox since its 1912 opening, is the oldest major league park currently in use. It opened the same day as Detroit 's Tiger Stadium - then named Navin Field - and hosted that seasons World Series. The outfield wall is famous for its unique angles and varying heights giving it an appearance unlike any other field. The left field features the iconic thirty-seven foot tall Green Monster (previously known as the wall before it was painted green in 1947), which seems an invitation to batters. Right fields Peskys Pole sits just 302 feet from home plate, the shortest distance in the major leagues. In 2012, Fenway celebrated its centennial and was added to the National Register of Historic Places. For more information, please visit Authentication.
